Selection of cooling device for four-column hydraulic press

- 01/31/2024 -

Coolers can be divided into water cooling, air cooling and ammonia gas cooling according to different cooling media. In hydraulic systems, water cooling and air cooling are commonly used cooling forms. An air-cooled cooler removes heat through air flow. It consists of a fan (or blower) and many tubes with fins. High-temperature oil flows through the tubes, and the fan (or blower) forces the air to pass through the fins. The surface of the tube takes away heat and plays a cooling role. Air-cooled cooler is suitable for mobile four-column hydraulic press equipment. The air-cooled cooler can be a row-tube type or a fin-type (single-layer tube wall). It is small in size, but its heat dissipation efficiency is not as high as that of the water-cooled type.
Water-cooled coolers include serpentine tube type, multi-tube type, and flap type. The commonly used serpentine tube water cooler is installed directly in the oil tank. The cooling water flows through the serpentine tube to take away the heat in the oil. This kind of cooler has the characteristics of simple structure, low cost and high heat exchange efficiency.
