Hydraulic press, a universal non-cutting forming processing equipment

- 10/15/2021 -

As a general non-cutting forming processing equipment, the hydraulic press works on the principle of using liquid pressure to transfer energy to complete various pressure processing. One of its operating characteristics is that the power transmission is a "flexible" transmission, which is not the same as the complicated power transmission system of mechanical processing equipment. This driving principle avoids the condition of machine overload; the second is that there is only a single linear driving force in the stretching process of the hydraulic press. There is no "angled" driving force, which allows the processing system to have a longer life span and a high workpiece yield. There are three basic action methods for hydraulic presses: single action, double action, and triple action. In the single-action method, the indenter (or sliding plate) is used as a moving part to move in one direction to complete the restriction process. There is no blanking equipment for this method of operation.

Single-action presses are mainly used in the forming of thin workpieces, and are suitable for coil and belt materials. The double-acting press has two moving parts: a slide plate (or punch) and a template. The operation process is that the punch (or slide plate) stretches the punching material from top to bottom, and the template is used as a fixed pressure plate. After limiting the molding, the template can finish the function of punching and ejecting. The pressure of the template can be adjusted according to the data and the characteristic parameters of the workpiece. However, the template can also be used as a blank holder to complete a special molding operation. This type of press can also be used for dual motors. Because the inner slide plate and the blank holder are related, the forming pressure and blank holder force are combined into the total load of the whole system. According to the frame structure method, hydraulic presses can be divided into beam-column type, combined structure type, integral structure type, single arm type, etc.

Hydraulic press is one of the most widely used equipment in product forming and production. Since its appearance in the 19th century, it has developed rapidly and has become one of the indispensable equipment in industrial production. Because of the wide adaptability of hydraulic press in operation, it has been widely used in various sectors of the national economy. Such as sheet molding; tube, wire, profile kneading; powder metallurgy, plastic and rubber products molding; plywood restriction and packaging; synthetic diamond, refractory brick restriction and carbon limit restriction molding; wheel and axle pressing, straightening, etc. The rapid development of various types of hydraulic presses has effectively promoted the development and progress of various industries. Since the 1980s, with the development and widespread use of microelectronics and hydraulic skills, hydraulic presses have been further developed.

With the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for metal restriction and stretched products has improved year by year. At the same time, the demand for product varieties has also increased. On the other hand, the production batch of products has been shrinking. In order to adapt to the production of small and medium batches, processing equipment that can be adjusted quickly is required, which makes hydraulic presses an ideal molding process equipment. Especially when the hydraulic press system has the function of individually adjusting the pressure and stroke speed, it can not only complete the processing of complex workpieces and asymmetric workpieces, but also achieve a very low rejection rate. This processing method is also suitable for long-stroke, difficult-to-form and high-strength materials.
